Tom has worked for Diversified for the past 25 years. He has been on the Sturgeon Refinery Project since September 2014 when the buses started on site, first with the white shuttle buses and then moving to the coach buses. Tom enjoys his work and the people he meets. “The people are why I get up at 3:30am” he says. He likes that the project is well organized and enjoys the camaraderie with the other drivers and he is often pulling pranks. The biggest influence in his life has been his late wife, who he fell in love with as soon as they met. Tom is very proud of his family; which includes a wonderful woman he met in 2004 and her family. “I just turned 69 and had 22 family members at the BBQ.” Fred Davis and Rick Coleburne have also had a big influence on his career and his work philosophy is safety first always and enjoy the people. Tom grew up in Lougheed and now lives in Edmonton where he enjoys antique cars and his rescued pet rabbit.
