Bianca is working for Fluor as an apprentice Crane and Hoist Equipment Operator and has been on site since July 2015. She is the first graduate of the Women Building Futures program to work on the Sturgeon Refinery. She enjoys that there are new things to learn and do each day. “I’m a hands on learner and this is exactly that. The whole crew are extremely experienced people who are very approachable teachers and resources, always ready to share their knowledge.” Her proudest moment to date at the worksite was participating in her first lift in a 75 ton Tadano crane to place one of the railing platforms into position on a heat exchanger.
