NWR’s Marathon of Hope

It took us 30 days to collectively run the Marathon of Hope.

On September 19 – the date of this year’s Terry Fox Run – our employees and contractors began tracking their kilometres. What started as a challenge from NWR’s Maintenance Department grew into several dozen participants and close to $10,000 pledged to support cancer research.

Today, we hit our goal of 5,373 km – the distance that Terry ran in 143 days as he inspired a nation in his journey to find a cure for cancer.

Thanks to everyone who participated. Every kilometre walked or ran, and every dollar pledged helps continue Terry’s legacy.
