Redwater Discovery Days August 14, 15, 16

One of the most exciting events hosted by The Redwater and District Agricultural Society is their annual Summer Fair. This event has been variously called “Garlic Days”, “Rodeo Days”, “Redwater Summer Festival” and “Discovery Days” in recognition ot the discovery of the Redwater oilfield in 1948.

This year’s summer fair was held August 14, 15 and 16th and included events such as Bench Show, Dog Agility Show, Pet Show, Music Jam Session, Show and Shine, pancake breakfast and a fireworks show.

The Redwater and District Agricultural Society is dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of activities designed to enhance rural and urban life by supporting other community groups such as Redwater 4-H and organize different events throughout the year such as a community Dinner and Dance, Farmer’s Markets, Christmas Craft Shows, Community Leadership training, and Bullying and Suicide prevention at Redwater School.
